The Flying Pig was started in 2023, but the passion for coffee began long before.

Owner KaLynn Johnson is an East Texas native and found her love for coffee young. In her early teens, she moved to West Texas. Out in West Texas she found another love: stock showing pigs.

In 2018, she found herself back in the East Texas area and began working at Vintage Cork in Ben Wheeler. Always hoping one day to have her own little wine and coffee bar. In 2022, her dreams came true and she took over Vintage Cork. In 2023, she expanded the wine bar and launched Flying Pig Coffee.

The Flying Pig works with a local business, Coffee City, USA, to source our coffee beans. We currently offer 4 different varieties; Guatemalan Antigua, Mexican Chiapas, Sumatra Mandheling, and Decaf Mexican Chiapas. More roasts and new location coming soon!
